Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 5th of January 1986. She was a popular model from her college days. Padukone began her acting career along with Aishwarya Rai in Kannada film 2006. Deepika's debut film in the Indian fim industry was "Om Shanti Om (2007)" which was a blockbuster movie directed by Farah Khan. She was awarded Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for "Om Shanti Om".
